Project News 9-2016

Project Award - 9/2016

Among other ongoing projects, CCI is currently working on several at the Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport. 

Including a renovation to the Concourse which will include interior renovation of the existing concourse, exterior improvements to the concourse and miscellaneious improvements to the concourse and terminal buildings.

Additionally, CCI is also working on the restroom repair in the baggage claim and rental car areas.

AR Game & Fish Sports Shooting Complex - Jan 2014

The Arkansas Game & Fish Sports Shooting Complex is schedule to be opened to the public at the end of January 2014.

The 160 acre range will include 14 trap fields, three skeet overlays, three lit fields, two pavilions, a lake and a 5,100sf clubhouse. This will be the state's largest shooting range.

Employee Awards - Dec 2013

CCI announced it's Employee of the Year awards in December. Unfortunately this year's party was compromised by icy conditions so we had a make-shift luncheon instead and had some yummy bbq from Whole Hog. 

Employee of the Year 2013: Arlie West. Arlie has been with CCI year and a half and in addition to helping as a foreman, he also assists with our service work. Arlie has a good attitude and is willing to assist with anything needed. Congratulations Arlie!

Most Improved: Michael Probst: Michael is a first year apprentice that came to CCI in July. Michael has proven he has a good attitude that everyone recognizes. He is catching on to the trade quickly and is a welcomed employee. Congratulations Michael!

Best Attitude: Pam House. Pam once again took the title this year! It will be the third consecutive time she has won. Pam never waivers in her ability to assist everyone else that is needed. Thank you again Pam!

These awards are voted on by their peers and while only three awards are given, there are always close runner ups. Thanks to everyone that continues to strive and do their best, we appreciate everybody! We look forward to another year with such good folks.


Project Update - January 2014

CCI has recently completed the following projects: Main Street Mall Retro-Commissioning in downtown Little Rock; Arkansas Game & Fish Sports Shooting Complex in Jacksonville, AR; Supreme Fixtures office remodel in Alexander. 

Projects currently underway include: A new fire station in Cabot, AR; Camp Robinson Vehicle Wash Facility; Ouachita P.E. Building and Fema Shelter; Bismarck Schools Fema Shelters.


Tips/Taps Contract Awarded 3-2013

CCI of Arkansas, Inc. Awarded a "Trades, Temporary Labor & Materials" contract thru the Tips/Taps program.

Tips/Taps is an Interlocal Purchasing System created to serve public and private school districts, colleges and univerisities, federal and state, county and city municipalities. It is free for the members and a percentage of sales to contract holders provide funding for the Tips/Taps program.

Employee Awards 12-2012

Another year gone by! Whew it went fast! CCI held it's annual holiday bash at the Foster Robinson House on December 14th, 2012. With good food, spirited atmosphere and a little dirty santa, we ended the night presenting the following awards:

Employee of the Year 2012: Steven Suit. Steven has been with CCI for two years and has moved up the ladder in his Journeyman Electrical career. Steven has closed out two projects for us this year and has really stepped up his responsibilities for himself and CCI. Congratulations Steven!

Ben Warrick was named Most Improved Employee of the year. Ben came to us without any experience this year and has shown his coworkers that he intents to make an impression. Ben is in his first year electrical training and we wish him a sucessfull career.

The employee with the Best Attitude is once again Pam House! This is the second year in a row that Pam has proven she is a very valuable asset to CCI in her willingness and desire to make sure everyone is taken care of ~ thank you mother Pam!

In addition to the awards, CCI also provided Steven Suit and Zack Hudson with their 2yr tenure Carhartt jackets. Thank you to all for your dedication to CCI!

All employees participate in voting for the awards and while only three are given, there are many, many other employees that do an outstanding job and are very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone for another year and we wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.

ABC Excellence in Contruction Apr-2012

CCI was privileged and honored to receive another Eagle Award from Associated Builders and Contractors~Arkansas Chapter this last April. This will be the fourth Eagle Award CCI has received from ABC. These awards are presented annually at the Excellence in Construction Banquet.

The Armed Forces Reserve Center is located just out side the front gates of the Pine Bluff Arsenal. This was a multi-use U.S. Army Corp of Engineers complex that had to meet LEED certification standards. The Reserve center is a 60,000sf facility housing offices, training rooms with classroom, an indoor firing range simulator, two fire arms vault with special power requirements, full scale commercial kitchen with cafeteria, a three bay automotive facility, several indoor storage areas and a specialized fire suppression system including fire pumps and two water towers.

 The Armed Forces Reserve Center lasted a total of 17 months with a completion of August 15th, 2011. CCI completed both the electrical and full communications system for this project.

Fall Projects In Progress 9-2012

CCI will be working on several projects this fall. Projects underway include the conclusion of the Ozark Medical Health Center in Clinton, AR, Arkansas Baptist College Library, the Honey Hill Pump Station in Searcy, and the renovation of the old national home center building for Custom Aircraft Cabinets.


Fall Projects In Progress 9-2013

CCI will be working on several projects this fall. Projects underway include conclusion of the War Memorial Stadium East Ticket Booth, a new Verizon Store located in Benton, AR, new Cabot Fire Station #2, new offices for Supreme Fixtures in Little Rock and Retro-Commissioning of the Main Street Mall in downtown Little Rock.


CCI End of Year Awards 12-2011

CCI held it's annual Holiday party at the Oyster Bar in Little Rock on December 16th, 2011. Among good food and fellowship, the following employees had extra to celebrate: 

This year's Employee of the  Year  is Chad Cason. Chad is a 3rd year electrical apprentice that has been with CCI for over 2 years. Chad has overcome many obstacles in his tenure, but we are proud of him and his peers must think so too! Contratulations Chad!

Jonathan Patton was named Most Improved Employee of they year. This makes Jon's 2nd year in a row for most improved ~ that's a good thing! Jon is a 1st year apprentice, so hang in there Jon, your doing great!

Lastly, but not least, Pam House was name Employee with Best Attitude! Pam is a newby to our family, but has in her short time proven that she can defintely work with many personalities and brings a light, fresh flavor to our office. Way to go Pam!

Additionally, the following staff received embroidered Carhartt jackets to weather the cold (or lack of) this seaon. These employees have met their 2yr tenure in order to receive: David Andrews, Chad Cason, Collin Hammett & Charles Maddox. Thank you all for your dedication to CCI!




Spring Projects Underway 1-2012

CCI is in full swing on most contracts awarded in the Fall of 2011. These include the Pulaski County Detention Center Expansion, Ozark Medical Center in Clinton, AR, Camp Robinson Range 4 Hardwire, Fountain Lake Safe Rooms, the US Probation Renovation and Conway Human Development Center Network Expansion.


CCI Wins 2 Eagle Awards! Mar-2011

CCI is the proud receipent of two Eagle Awards for work completed in 2010! Along with other winners, CCI will accept the beautiful Eagle Awards in a ceremony to take place in Hot Springs April 2nd, 2011. Thank you to all the workers & staff that made these jobs possible!

An Eagle Award is given by Associated Builders & Contractors once a year to their Excellence In Construction winners. CCI Certified for Ground Resistance Testing! 3-2011

CCI now offers Ground Resistance Testing!

We now have five electricians certified in AEMC ground resistance testing! Along with the certifications, CCI has purchased a new AEMC Megometer capable of printing testing results for our customers! LED Upgrade at Pulaski County Detention Center Dec-2010

The Pulaski County Detention Center is installing (85) Exterior LED Wall Mount Fixtures and (30) LED Pole Mount Fixtures. This project has a short duration starting in December 2010 and to be completed in early 2011.


LRAFB Commissary Parking Lot Nov-2010

CCI has been awarded a project located at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, AR. This project is estimated to start in November 2010 and consists of changing out several pole lights at the Commissary Parking Lot.


Centerpoint Safe Room Oct-2010

CCI will be performing the electrical portion of the project of Centerpoint Safe Room as awarded by Stonebridge Construction, LLC. This project is scheduled to start in early Nov.2010 and run thru the end of the year.


Renovations to B-344, LRAFB Oct-2010

In October 2010, AMR Construction, Inc. provided CCI of Arkansas the electrical contract for the Renovations of B-344 exterior project located at the Little Rock Air Force Base.


LRAFB Repair B-1260 Oct-2010

CCI will be performing the Electrical and communications portion of the Repair Wing B-1260 office located at the Little Rock Air Force Base. This project was awarded to CCI in October 2010 by AMR Construction, Inc.

Statehouse Convention Center Aug-2010

CCI will begin working with Austin Construction on the Statehouse Convention Center in August 2010. (Project Information coming soon)


Clinton Elementary Re-Roof Project Jul-2010

Clinton Elementary located in Sherwood, AR has a Re-Roof project currently underway that CCI will be undertaking the completing of both electrical and communications divisions. Electrical (coming soon). Data (coming soon). This is a two-phase project with Phase I being completed in late June 2010 to August 2010 and Phase II in the summer of 2011.


Employees of the Year Announced Dec-2009

At the annual CCI holiday event, employees of the year were announced for electrical and datacomm divisions plus office staff. Congratulations to Roni Lee (Electrical), Ron Keeling (Datacomm) and Doyle Moore (Office). During the annual event on December 12th, 2009, CCI had another terrific celebration of the year with its employees. Outside the EOY awards, there were also 2yr tenure jackets provided to 5 employees, many games were played, prizes, fun and everyone enjoyed good fellowship.


LRAFB Shopping Center Complex Dec-2009

Has received substantial completion on November 30th, 2009 after 12 months of hard work! We appreciate everyone’s dedication throughout the project. With a full completion scheduled before the end of 2009, this was a fast paced, intense project that started in Dec-09. Sincere appreciation to everyone for a job well done!


Armed Forces Reserve Center, Pine Bluff Arsenal

CCI was awarded the electrical contract for a new Armed Forces Reserve Center located on the premise of the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Expected to start in March 2010 and will take approximately one year to complete. This will be a brand new facility with systems of site lighting, primary power, data and communications, security, fire alarm and intrusion.


White Hall School Renovations

This project consists of adding a new gymnasium to the school, a new softball complex and two floors of classroom. CCI’s contract includes electrical, communications, fire alarm and lightning protection services.  Project start is March 2010.


LRAFB Bldg 314

Renovations awarded with start in November 2009. This project consists of a complete remodel of the Command Post Bldg 314 at the Little Rock Air Force Base. Consisting of new generator power, new switchboards, lighting and controls, lighting protection, fire alarm, intrusion and datacomm system with fiber.


PEC G1 Complex

CCI was awarded the electrical contract with a start in November 2009. Work has started at the Camp Robinson building that used to be the old canteen. It is under renovations to become a new education center.


UALR Fribrough Hall

CCI was awarded the electrical contract for this project with a start in January 2010. The electrical for this project stems from an HVAC renovation that will be underway.


CCI’s New Building

Plans still in works while budget items are reviewed. Original plans to be in CCI’s new facility this summer took a delay while reviewing budgetary items to try and cut costs for it’s construction. In the meantime, measures were taken on the new property to use existing structures for storage and larger equipment.


Seimon Certification

CCI’s data division is now Seimon certified! In October 2009, two technicians received training in Dallas, TX. This makes CCI one of few contractors in Arkansas to be a qualified Seimon Certified Installers.
